Miguel Angel Elkoroberezibar Larrañaga

Bergara (Gipuzkoa),1966

He holds a degree in English Philology. He lectures and does research.

He was the founder and first editor of the literary magazine Enseiukarrean in Bilbao. He was also the editor of the weekly magazine Berrigara in Bergara. He co-founded the weekly magazines Goienkaria in the Upper Deba area and Irutxulo in Donostia (San Sebastian). He has written widely on the local press, and Basque literary magazines have also been the focus of his writing. His pieces of research on E. S. Dodgson, the English Basque devotee, and a number of well-known figures of Bergara are also worthy of mention.

In the 1980s he won a number of short story competitions: Arrasate, Eibar, Santurtzi, Zumarraga, Bilbao,à He has also translated poems by William Wordsworth, Archibald Macleish and Marianne Moore. His articles have appeared in magazines like Berrigara, Goienkaria, Jakin, Ttu-tuá, Enseiukarrean and Egan, as well as in editions produced among many writers. He has also sat on juries in literature competitions.
